Mid-Century Vintage Sideboard / Art Deco Cocktail Drinks Cabinet by Heal's

This stunning cocktail bar / sideboard, designed by Heal’s of Tottenham Court Road in the 1950's, is a beautiful example of mid-century British craftsmanship and is made from Mahogany, Cherry, and Rosewood.

The original lacquered finish on the outside has been completely stripped, then the exposed wooden surfaces have been carefully sanded to reveal the gorgeous woodgrain. Several applications of a hardwearing, protective Osmo wax-oil have then been applied by hand making the grain pop.

The front of the cabinet has been lined with Graham & Brown Quarters Sepia paper,  a neutral and grounded colour palette, that complements the surrounding wood.

The legs have been painted in a deep gray, almost black mineral paint and varnished for durability.

The cabinet boasts two good-sized side cupboards with a dividing shelf and the middle drop-down section can be used as a cocktail bar.  Above the cupboards are three good-sized drawers. The drawer on the right includes two removable cutlery dividers.

PRE-LOVED FURNITURE

This is a vintage piece of furniture that has been restored skilfully, with high attention to detail, however, it may show signs of a previous life. This in no way hinders the functionality of the piece and only adds to its character.  

Freshly painted furniture can take up to 28 days to harden. We advise you during this period to take extra care. The paint used on this piece is waterproof, however, it is still recommended to use coasters and dusting should only be done with a slightly damp lint-free cloth.  Any chemicals should be avoided.

DELIVERY

Delivery is a standard fee of £65 to the Mainland UK with a trusted courier. However, a small supplement may apply if you live further afield, i.e. Highlands, Cornwall, Isle of Man, etc. Please contact me for a quote if you are unsure.

Alternatively, you are welcome to come and collect for free from my workshop in Fleet, Hampshire.

** Please note that delivery will be made by a 1 man courier company to the ground floor. This means that for heavy items help lifting and carrying will be required on delivery. If you are unable to provide help on delivery or if the item needs carrying upstairs, please contact me before buying as delivery charges may need to be recalculated.
